Geauga County Bicentennial Building c.2006

Framed in yellow-poplar, cherry, white ash, & eastern white pine, much of which was harvested from the fairgrounds woodlot, this building was commissioned by the Geauga County Commissioners. It permanently houses the county’s bicentennial bell and serves as a showcase for the county during the annual Great Geauga County Fair. Inspiration for the overall design was drawn from existing and razed fair buildings of the 19th century.
