Maple Cottage Porch

Spring 2022

This 16’0 x 16’0 porch was partially framed with a smorgasbord of salvaged pine species that were originally planted as Christmas trees, but never harvested until the site clearing for the construction of a retirement cottage on a nearby family farm. The remainder of the timber was harvested from an adjoining farm woodlot. All was milled on-site and joined using mostly scribe-rule layout in my shop.

The porch was designed with the intention of a future screened enclosure.
